Projects
This year's Academy graduates tackled a broad range of projects:
Short (30 minutes at lunch) and long (2 hour special event for 200+ students) presentations (PowerPoint slide show below) to their peers, teachers, administrators,
a farmers market, and an educational day for Workforce Investment Act (WIA) youth
Interactive Workshops for various classes, using activities from the YWLA
Policy change at local high schools: students applying for work permit must view the slide presentation and pass a quiz created by the YWLA teams
Business cards, flyers, brochures distributed at high schools, community-based organizations, farmers market, educational and career days
